Bishon wrote early drafts for her first novel, Paradise Madness, in the backs of her high school notebooks instead of completing assignments. She is now an accomplished author, screenwriter, and director living in New York City.

In 2024, Bishon became an Academy Award Nicholl Fellowship semi-finalist with her dark comedy screenplay, Sucks to Be Stacey. Her high school #MeToo centered screenplay No Fury, and her television pilot, Hire, have also both been shortlisted by The Blacklist / Women In Film for their 2022 feature and 2024 episodic residency programs. In June 2026, Bishon wrote and directed a short horror film called Green Ribbon, based on the folktale about the headless girl who wears a ribbon around her neck, told through a survivor lens. Her work seeks to examine an intersectional feminine experience under patriarchal oppression, revealing the systemic dehumanization that so often plagues girlhood. Paradise Madness explores the autonomy of love and desire in a world that seeks to oppress and control.

Bishon lives in Queens with her partner, two Machiavellian kittens, and an ever-growing collection of Criterion Blu-Rays
