We are delighted to announce Sharmaine Lovegrove’s first deal as a literary agent: CHILD AND GOD by Kevin Quinn which sold to Knopf in an exclusive submission.

We believe this will be a very special debut publication, and we are immensely proud of Kevin and honoured to be part of his journey.

The exquisite, lyrical, and formally daring polyphonic debut CHILD AND GOD by Kevin Quinn, Editor at Citizen Magazine and literary critic, has been acquired by Jordan Pavlin and John Ingold at Knopf, in an exclusive submission.

The novel moves between alternating perspectives within a Black Pentecostal family in 199os Detroit. It's a profound exploration of belief, queerness, concealment, and the emotional costs of faith. US and North American rights are sold. UK, Commonwealth, Rest of World, and foreign-language rights remain available.
