Sidney Jones

Assistant Literary Agent

Sidney joined the agency in 2024 as an Assistant Literary Agent, shortly while completing an MSc in Media and Communications at the London School of Economics. Her dissertation explored how service and cultural workers in an independent live music venue shape — and are shaped by — grassroots cultural spaces.

Born in Hong Kong to a French Australian family, Sidney brings an international perspective and a deep curiosity about migration, belonging, and how we narrate ideas of home. Alongside her work in publishing, she is also a musician with an academic interest in ethnomusicology and sonic resistance, exploring how sound and storytelling create community and collective memory.

Her professional background spans journalism at both a news agency and local newspaper, sharpening her sense of how personal stories intersect with broader social narratives. Books have long been a touchstone in her own life — Rebecca Solnit’s A Field Guide to Getting Lost informed her view of moving between worlds, while Kate Zambreno’s Heroines resonated for its fearless reclamation of women’s voices in literature.
