He is the author of the acclaimed Shakespearean novels The Spy of Venice and The Assassin of Verona, as well as Shakespeare’s Rhetoric (Bloomsbury Arden), which explores how Shakespeare’s mastery of words still shapes how we persuade and perform today.

His one-man shows have won awards and five-star reviews, celebrated for their mix of intellectual depth, theatrical verve and comic brilliance. Alongside creating and performing his own work, he has written scripts for radio and television and continues to develop projects across stage and screen.
