Dr Kathleen Bryson
Represented By: Ivan Mulcahy
Kathleen Bryson is from Alaska and lives in North London. She is the author of two evolutionary non-fiction books and three novels.
She also is the writer-director of four underground feature films and the painter of 10 solo art exhibitions.
She holds a doctorate in evolutionary anthropology from UCL and is a Visiting Researcher at the University of Oxford, where she held a postdoc 2021-2023. Currently an EU Postdoctoral Fellow investigating virtual reality, she has taught Extraterrestrial Anthropology at UCL and lectured widely on the subject elsewhere.
Her work as a screenwriter and director led to her selection for both the Berlinale Talent Campus and the B3 Biennale Talent Campus.
She is writing a book on extraterrestrial and AI intelligence — so that when aliens land and the government searches the web and finds her, she’ll be amongst the first to meet them, just like the Amy Adams character in Arrival.
