Steve Hollyman was born in Stoke-on-Trent in 1984.
His first novel, Lairies, was published by Influx Press in 2021, and appeared as a Book of the Day in the Guardian.
It was also released as an audiobook by Audible. His second novel, the metafictional murder mystery Esc&Ctrl, was published by the same publisher in 2022.
Steve is vocalist and guitarist in the three-piece alternative rock group CreepJoint, whose music has been described as a ‘brilliant math-rock earworm’ by Tom Robinson of BBC 6 Music.
Aside from his interests as a novelist and musician, Steve works as a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing.
