Edwina de Charnacé
Agent

Edwina de Charnacé is a literary agent of French Korean heritage who grew up in Tokyo and Hong Kong before studying English at Oxford University and completing an MA in East Asian Art History at SOAS. She joined ICA soon after graduating and now represents an international list spanning fiction and non-fiction, with a particular focus on writing in translation.
Her taste reflects her fascination with language, identity, and cross-cultural storytelling. She is especially interested in contemporary Korean writing in translation and works that explore belonging, history, and voice across borders. Edwina is seeking literary and upmarket commercial fiction that combines strong narrative with distinct style, as well as ambitious fantasy and speculative fiction rooted in cultural traditions. In non-fiction, she looks for books that bring fresh perspectives on identity, culture, and the ways we tell our stories.
She is particularly excited by authors who challenge assumptions and open new imaginative spaces for readers around the world.
